BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Jong Lee is a Subject Matter Expert at Quinlan & Associates.

Jong is the Chairman and Managing Director of RGL Holdings, Ltd, a privately-owned venture capital fund. His areas of focus in Hong Kong include over a dozen early stage technology companies, social enterprises, education initiatives and business turnarounds.

Jong’s 20 years of enterprise and multinational experience in the US and across Asia ranges from leveraged buyout transactions for leading private equity firms including KKR and Blackstone, strategic advisory for and joint ventures with Fortune 500 companies and turnarounds and restructurings for both private and publicly listed businesses. His various corporate roles include: CEO of Hanson Robotics; COO for Linmark Group, a leading supply chain management company; Managing Partner or PineRidge Partners K.K., a private equity turnaround fund; Vice President at H&Q Asia Pacific, a leading regional private equity fund; an Associate Director in technology investment banking at UBS AG; and an M&A and capital markets lawyer at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York.

Outside of his corporate career, Jong is co-curator of TEDxHongKong and TEDxHongKongEducation, teaches business reinvention at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, regularly lectures at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Hong Kong University and served on the Intellectual Property Trading Working Committee for the Hong Kong Government. Jong speaks around the world on a range of social entrepreneurship, reinvention and innovation topics, including at the Nobel Laureates Symposium (Hong Kong), the Russian Economic Forum and the Wall Street Journal.

EDUCATION

Jong earned his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an honors graduate of the Parker School of International Law and founding Editor in Chief of the Columbia Law School Journal of Asian Law. He graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Bioengineering and Political Science.

LOUISA ROBB

Louisa Robb is a Subject Matter Expert at Quinlan & Associates.

Louisa is the Founder and Managing Director of Lucella, a professional coaching and consulting firm based in Switzerland. In recent years she has worked with a number of major international organisations, including investment banks and insurance companies, on projects including the deployment of organisational development tools, executive development and coaching, as well as people and business strategy.

Prior to founding Lucella, Louisa was a Managing Director and Global Chief Operating Officer for UBS AG’s Legal & Compliance Department, overseeing a team of 1,800 professionals. Before taking up that role she was Managing Director and Head of Strategy for UBS in Asia Pacific, responsible for the bank’s overall growth and performance improvement initiatives in the region. She transitioned into this role from the Group Strategy team in Zurich, where she helped to drive UBS’s market entry efforts into China.

Louisa began her financial services career working in a variety of roles for Sumitomo Bank Capital Markets, Prebon Yamane and Baillieu Webb & Associates in Hong Kong.

Louisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Economics and Finance) from the University of Melbourne.

BRUCE SALZER

BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bruce Salzer is a Subject Matter Expert at Quinlan & Associates.

Bruce is a proven business leader with an accomplished background across the United States, Japan and Hong Kong in sophisticated international financial services with experience and interest in CSR / charity fundraising. He brings with him particular skills in client relationship development, CRM, as well as creative and innovative business marketing and project management to achieve sustainable leadership positions.

Bruce was previously a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Access & Client Management (Asia Pacific) for Jeffries, where he led all aspects of corporate access, including non-deal roadshows, corporate access events, investor tours, site visits, and flagship large conferences throughout the region.  He also managed the equity business’ CRM efforts, including assessing client wallet, resource consumption, and client penetration, as well as its marketing and investor client relationship programs.

Prior to Jeffries, Bruce was the Head of Corporate Access (Asia Pacific) for Standard Chartered and the Head of Corporate Access (Asia ex Japan) at J.P. Morgan. Prior to his banking career, Bruce worked as a Director at S&P and a Director at the Texas General Land Office, where he directed the management of a USD 700 million fixed-income investment portfolio.

Bruce joined Global Philanthropic in July 2015 as Chairman Asia (Non-Executive). Global Philanthropic, now based in London, was founded in 2002 out of a commitment to spreading the power of philanthropy as a transformative force for good. The organisation works with non-profits and philanthropists around the world to help them fulfill their visions and dreams for a better world for all of us.

Bruce holds an MBA (Finance & Marketing) from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA (Economics & Business) from Vanderbilt University.
